Trip Advisor does give a good indication. My choices for certainly lunch in the centre of Chi would be. Field and Fork, Woodies or El Castizo. Not sure that you will get the afternoon tea experience in Chi.

Otherwise it is the chains!!!!!!!

As to afternoon tea, what about St Martin's Tea Room in St Martin's or the Little London Cafe ? As to lunch, my vote would go to Amelie and Friends in North Street although, if you don't mind a self service set up, the Cloisters Restaurant in the Cathedral Cloisters has been consistenly good when I have been there. I would agree with Merolot's recommendation of Woodies and Field and Fork (Pallant House Gallery).

Like the two posts above I totally agree with Woodies for lunch. Woodies is located in St. Pancras.
