Fish and Chips in Leeds.

I love fish and chips when they are done excellently which always seems the case in Yorkshire.

I shall be in Leeds next week and have read that the best fish and chips is to be had at Nash's fish and chips restaurant.

I don't know Leeds at all really. I do know where the railway station is though. So if it is possible do you think I will be able to walk to Nash's from there? If so then some directions would be most appreciated!!!!!

If anyone has better places to recommend without having to go too far away from the centre.

My all time favourite when up in Yorkshire is Bizzy Lizzies in Skipton. Just the smell entices you in!! £4 take away fish and chips!! My mouth is watering now!!!!

Nash's fish and chip shop is 17 Merrion Street, LS2 8JE (http://www.nashsfishandchips.com/). If you select Leeds and pump 'station' and their postcode on the following website you will get detailed directions and a map.

Enjoy!

I ate fish & chips at Nashs a few years ago and it was excellent. The menu then was just about covering everything a good fish & chip establishment should have. However i walked past a few weeks ago and stopped to look at the menu outside. i am very much mistaken there did not seem as much fish choices as I rememebered. I am sure people from Leeds will be able to tell you better than I can, but it no longer looked like it was a specialised fish & chip place

On the other hand, just checked the website and if thats a recent menu on there, it looks pretty much like a fish & chip shop!

A couple of other great Fish & Chip restaurants in Leeds you could have a look at; firstly Bryans in Headingley is quite an institution. I've not been for a few years but it is well known.

Another good option where I used to eat regularly is Skyliner as I worked nearby.

Both are these are outside of the city centre so you would need to get a bus to either of them/

You've hit the nail on the head there sunmagic Bryans and Skyliner are my two favourite fish & chip shops. Nash's in the city centre are the best for the centre of Leeds. Though Nash's is a good 10-15 minute walk from the train station

Did my courting before I married with a Guiseley lass. If you want to venture out of Leeds you could do a lot worse than Westfield Fisheries Yeadon, Oxfords Fisheries and Springfield at Guiseley. We found that with "Harrys" near by all the fish shops in this area were a very very good quality.

Hi, Graveleys is only a take away and the one at the side of the markets is the original abnd much better than the one near elland road, For the city centre I think Nash's or Graveleys are your best two options. If you decide to ride out to headingley, Bretts fish restaurant on north lane is also excellent. If you ant to push the boat out, Livebait in the calls also does traditional fish and chips at a pricey £13.50,
