Where to eat tonight?

Booked a last minute stop over in Leeds and looking for ideas for somewhere to eat?

We're staying at the HI Express City Centre on Cavendish St, so it's likely we will need to get a taxi to wherever we go.

Looking for a decent, but reasonable priced place that will still have a table left! Not indian, thai or chinese or any pub chains but open to other suggestions. Did look at Reds but decided against it as imagine it would be rammed tonight and they don't allow pre-booking. Have eaten at Nation of Shopkeepers before too so fancy a change. Thinking pizza, burgers, soul food style food but in decent surroundings?

Any suggestions

Walkable? Town Hall Tavern at your end of the Headrow. If your going to get a taxi anyway (though all of the centre of Leeds is probably less than 15 mins walk) just take your pick.

There's plenty of places for decent burgers - Byron burgers on lands lane (right in the city centre), gourmet burger kitchen on greek street or handmade burger kitchen in Trinity. There's a few restaurants in Trinity so you might find something you like in there - and as it's a Tuesday you should be ok without a reservation.

I like Red's and if they can't seat you straight away they will take your details and text you when a table becomes available - so I wouldn't necessarily rule it out.

Hope that helps!
