Staying at Amerden Camping site, Dorney Reach, Maidenhead

just wondered if any child friendly pubs nearby as were camping for 8 days there, just incase weather changes(forecast excellent at mo)!!!!!

Also any other places nearby that we could take her too.....apart from the obvious touristy things already going to the castle, Beconskot minature village,Lego land. Got a few other places sidelined too.....but wondered if there is anything that us "tourists" wouldn't find nearby that would be good for her.......

Thanks in advance :-))

If the weather is really awful there is a 'monkey mates' in Wokingham, which is indoors. Thats about a 30-40 min drive, outside rush hour.

This website has details plus mentions some other kid friendly places dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/family-fun/…1067

Maidenhead also has a big swimming pool, and there are pools at Coral Reef at Bracknell and just outside Windsor (pretty much as you come off the motorway into Windsor) with slides and waves.

If you like art there is the Stanley Spencer Gallery in Cookham. The National Trust property at Cliveden is quite nearby and Burnham Beeches is a lovely place for a walk

If you do like walking a wander by the river in Cookham is nice or a walk from Maidenhead Bridge towards Bray takes you past some beautiful countryside and large houses!

These links should give you a bit more info about what is going on locally
