Where to stay near legoland

Hoping to visit Legoland during October half term and have seen many offers on ticket/hotel packages but unsure which hotel is value for money. Looking for a 3/4 star suitable for 2 adults but child focussed for our 5 year old. Hopefully within 10 miles distance from Legoland so distance to park not too long. Any ideas?

Have you looked here?

http://www.legolandhotels.co.uk/

The hotel descriptions are specifically child-oriented, which should give you some ideas.

Failing that, they've opened a brand new Travelodge in Windsor town centre recently, which certainly meets the location criteria.

just alone for convenient location I would stay at

Travelodge Windsor Central

Harte and Garter Hotel

or

Mercure Castle Hotel ( has it's own car park )

all of them are right in the towncentre, steps away from the Legoland shuttle bus on the High Street, near all the castle/restaurants/cafes/shops.

There is also a playground ( Bachelors Acre ), The Windsor Wheel ( big Ferris Wheel ) , Boat trips on the Thames if you have extra time.
