Need advise on a weekend in Wales

Dear All

I would like to spend a weekend in Wales and that is all I have in terms of free time at the moment.Maybe 3 days max if i'm lucky

After some research on the internet I am a bit overhelmed and lost and in need of good advise to help to make my mind up.Most of the country looks absolutely gourgeous especially coast. And I have to pick only one place to stay,so here's the question for those who know - if you had a weekend in Wales where would you stay?

And here's what I'm after- I don't care much for shopping or busy towns I want beautiful scenery and a beach, a bit of hystory or wildlife would be a bonus. We have a car so getting there or around is not a problem for us

Any ideas would be very much appreciated

Thank you

I think Pembrokeshire would be the best place for you to head for. Beautiful beaches, a national park, a good coastal path, and lots of history, especially if you stay somewhere like St Davids.

I just had a long weekend in Amroth in Pembrokeshire - it was a great base with a lovely beach, a couple of really good pubs /restaurants and good access to all the sights around west Wales. We went in Saundersfoot - 15 mins, Pendine - 10 mins, Tenby 20 mins and St Davids 35 minutes.

It's mainly self catered cottages or mobile homes but a great spot.
