The best dog friendly beaches in Bangor and Anglesey

I am taking my mother and three year old Jack Russell to Bangor (staying at Orme View Lodge) in two weeks time, stopping for 4 days.

I know there are plenty of websites for dog friendly beaches, but would prefer to hear recent views on such beaches, thanks.

1. Re: The best dog friendly beaches in Bangor and Anglesey

I visited Trearddur Bay Beach on Anglesey (up near Holyhead) today and noticed that dogs are allowed on half the beach. It's a beach (mainly sandy) that I visit two or three times a year as we live in Llanrwst about 30 miles from Bangor over towards Betws-y-Coed and enjoy it every time.

The only thing that might put you off is that the car park near the beach isn't that big, although £3 for 4 hours parking isn't bad. There are a couple of shops nearby on the main road that you can get drinks etc from (one is a Spar and the other a cafe/small general store.

Hope you have a great time with your mum and dog.
