I would recommend the Old Bulls Head Inn Beaumaris. We last stayed here in the summer and it is a great place-just read the reviews. There are also some really interesting places to visit and you could drive around the island.

We went for a day out to Caernarfon and wondered why we had bothered. Not been here for nearly 20 years and won't be back. We struggled to find somewhere decent to eat though had a drink in The Black Boy, which is a great place, but it was was fully booked (not surprised) so ended up in Witherspoons which was full of men.

The castle is a wonderful place to visit but that is it really.
