Long weekend with Camper Van

Hi,

We are planning a trip to North Wales for a long weekend in mid September in a beat-up old Camper van and 2 young kids.

does anyone have any suggestions on where we should base ourselves, and sites which would accomodate us. We will have bikes with us too. We'd ideally want to be next to a (sandy and/or rock pools) beach or walking distance to it. We'd rather it wasn't in a very commercial tourist area, as long as there's a great chippy and pub that does food nearby, we'd be happy. I know this is probobally a long list of wants....but any ideas would be great fully received.

Thanks

Hi,

search Aberdaron campsites, we stayed at the hotel and across the road is the Ship hotel and next door is a chippy. Aberdaron has a very good beach and you are about a 10 min drive from Whistling Sands, amazing beach. I don't know the names of any camp sites but we walked up the road passed the church for less than 5 mins and there was a campsite.
