from london to betws-y-coed

i'm visiting britain in the summer and i would really like to visit wales since i've never been there before. the problem is i havent figured out how to get from london to north wales even though i have done a lot of net research. we wont have a car so i would like to know what is the most reliable and quick way to get from london to betws-y-coed using public transport.

also i would like to know what is the weather like in August on average in North Wales. will we need warm clothes?

If you haven't got a car for transport, (which would be useful when you get to N Wales for getting around and seeing what we have on offer here for visitors,) the best transport to use would be train from London.

the weather would be the same as the rest of the UK check the BBC weather on line for the area you are visiting.

how long will you be in wales for? can give you some suggestions on places of interest.

You can take the Virgin Train (I hope I won't be barred for advertising!) from London Euston all the way to Betws-y-Coed. You take the Holyhead train from London Euston, change at Bangor to Betws-y-Coed. As the previous message said, it would be a shame not to see the whole area of Snowdonia and Anglesey. My advice would be to take an escorted tour for the duration of your visit. You can find Tour Operators for North Wales on the Wales Tourist Board website: www.visitwales.com
