Visiting for a week

Hello

We are staying in Dolwyddelan from tomorrow with children aged 3, 10 & 17, grandparents & siblings & a dog.

Has anyone any suggestions - we intend to climb Snowdon - those of us who are of the age to b fit enough too, and l we intend going caving for a morning also.

Anyone other suggestions of what we could get up too - prefer to be outdoors where possible - we are all waterproof so if it rains who cares!! Intend doing LOTS of walking.

Also dog friendly places such as pubs etc would be most appreciated!

Looking forward to the beautiful scenery and some fabulous Welsh hospitality!

Heather

There's some info on walks in the area on Conwy Council's website - http://www.conwy.gov.uk/section.asp?cat=1504.

I'd recommend a day trip up to Llandudno and take in a visit to the Great Orme. Either take the Great Orme Tramway or the Great Orme Cable Cars to the summit and then walk back down following one the trails on the CCBC website.

You might also want to check out Tree Top Adventure on the outskirts of Betws-y-Coed.

Sorry, the link to CCBC's website has an unnecessary "."

The correct link is http://www.conwy.gov.uk/section.asp?cat=1504
