Non-fancy dining options

Hi,

I'd appreciate advice on reasonably-price dining options that are not too far from where we are staying, at the Llwyn-y-Celyn youth hostel in/near Libanus.

We'll self-cater some of the time but - like typical tourists and travellers :-) - would also like to take in some typical 'home-made local' fare for dinner after a long day's drive and/or walk.

Until what time do restaurants typically stay open during summer? We tend to be out and about till the light fades......

Thanks,

Try the " Brecon beacons mountain center" at libanus, good local cooked food, great views, and walking distance from your hostel

. Black beef pie with veg and a pint of local brew is less than £10. with plenty of other choices on offer.

In general outside of London most restaurants and pubs stop serving food after 9pm. After this you are looking for a late night kebab van or maybe chip shop or Indian takeaway. If you choose to visit quiet and especially rural places, you will not get a 24 hour fast-paced culture. You can stay out all night if you want, but every thing will be closed.

I hear The Tai'r Bull at Libanus is OK.
