Hi, We (2 Adults and 13 year old boy) will be visiting the Brecon Beacons at the end of August (2014), camping near to Abergavenny. Would welcome any suggestions for things to do in the area. We are especially looking to walk Pen-Y-Fan and would like to visit some of the waterfalls and or caves. We only really have 3 days to explore the area as 1st and last day will be setting up camp and maybe short walks locally so want to plan as much as possible before we go. Possibly also adventure activities, orienteering (most activity centres found on web are quite expensive for this basically would like a challenge for the 3 of us but not pay in excess of £50 each for it if possible), also canoeing etc nothing to ambitious as to include 13 year old.
To cut a long story short any tips for the above and ideas we may not have thought of, or recommended places to eat (nice pub lunches) nearby to Llanellen and surrounding area.
