I imagine "back" is the side that overlooks a dual carriageway coming up to a roundabout. I'm sure it's well soundproofed and on the 5th floor you probably won't hear anything, but if you don't want to overlook the road I'd plump for front, overlooking the entrance/car park. May be worth checking that my reading of front (where the entrance is) and back is correct!

Our company has a deal with Future Inns and I stay at the ones in Cardiff, Plymouth and Bristol on a reasonably regular basis. If you look at the online booking form, you can find out quite a few details about which way the room is facing etc. so you can get a good night's sleep. I am a light sleeper and use this feature all the time. The link is at: http://www.futureinns.co.uk/bristol-hotel

I am sure I am not the only one wondering why this has reappeared as a post from someone who has only a couple of posts?
