Have a look on here. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/

There may be some near Caerleon but that is not obvious campsite territory. North of Newport near Usk or near Chepstow is another possibility. Newport and Cardiff are so close together that being a little way either side doesn't make a great deal of difference, unless travelling at rush hour.

Is this for the Ryder Cup?

Yes it is. I found one place, cant remember the name, but due to thr RC they doubled there rates which is blatant rip off altough it looks like a lot of people are trying to make quick money from the event

Cardiff Caravan Park is close to the city centre, with easy access to the M4. You can also walk to Central Station from there (for trains to Newport - Ryder Cup? There will be a shuttle bus from Newport Station to Celtic Manor).

It's a beautiful location, within walking distance of the restaurants etc in the city centre and Pontcanna area of Cardiff. It's highly recommended - but you will need to get in quickly if it is for Ryder Cup (or any other big event)

Tredegar House which is just off Junction 28 of the m4 has (apparently) a very good caravan club site. It is West Newport / Cardiff East

Tredegar Park would indeed be very convenient (one of the Ryder Cup park and ride car parks is there), and it's another pretty location, but apparently it's already full. Cardiff might well be too by now.

Tredegar Park would have been my recommendation (freinds who have stayed there highly recommend) but if it is for Ryder Cup time will probably be full.

How far do you want to travel and what sort of site are you looking for? We live in the Newport area and can look for alternatives if you need
