First class on First great wesertn

The ticket includes free snacks and use of the lunge. can anyone elaborate on exactly what drinks you get and snacks. I am guessing tea/coffee, water and biscuits. I think previously there were soft drinks and crisps.

In the lounge at Paddington we have had coffee etc, biscuits, fruit, Danish pastries, can't recall what else. On the trains (have gone first class on several different trains) we have had everything from free coffee and biscuits to a three course silver service breakfast - but that wasn't FGW

FGW used to offer complimentary fizzy drinks but that was stopped several years ago. We now only get tea/coffee and biscuits, but I think you can still get water if you ask for it. Anything else you normally have to pay for.

On the train as well as tea, coffee, small bottles of water, you can also get a glass of orange juice. They also have fruit, biscuits, cake and crisps in very small packets and croissants. On a journey from Swansea to Paddington they will usually come round with the trolley 2/3 times.

Yes at weekends you will have to go to the buffet car yourself and show your first class ticket to collect your complimentary drinks etc

Cardiff one is. Paddington one isn't.

The Paddington one is normally closed Saturday and open Sunday only between 16:00 to 23:59, however at the moment it has revised hours on both Saturday and Sunday open 0900 - 2100, see here for details firstgreatwestern.co.uk/your-journey/on-boar…
