Hotel with Entertainment

Have posted this on Newport forum also - apologies!

Am hoping someone can help - we normally have a weekend away in Bournemouth in April with various family members

We travel from Surrey and others travel from near Newport

Reason for Bournemouth is that FIL is a DJ so we go to one of his regular hotel bookings and have a nice stay in beachfront hotel with dinner and a disco till the early hours

this time we want to find somewhere nearer to the Welsh clan and somewhere where FIL can have a night off.

So far have found recommendations for a few places but am hoping someone might be able to recommend a hotel in the area which regularly has entertainment

The hotels we have been told about are:

Roman Lodge Hotel, Newport

Court -Colman Manor

Nant Ddu Lodge Hotel

St Mellons Hotel

All suggestions much appreciated

Many thanks

Any of these are good, apart from Court Colman, faded glory I'm afraid and a manager who hasn't got a clue, stay well clear. The others are fine though.

Oh I don't know, the manager is entertaining. That is if you want to stay somewhere as badly run and Fawlty Towers!!!!! aaaarrrrhhhh!

The Cwrt Bleddyn near Usk is very nice and ofen has entertainment nights although they have nothing scheduled on their web site at the moment - might be worth ringing them to check
