Hotels for weekend / midweek breaks - recs pls

After having a lovely weekend stay at the Killyhevlin we would like to do some more local breaks.

So what your suggestions or favourite local hotels for relaxing breaks. Somewhere preferably with spa/leisure facilities.

Even any across the border too pls.

Thanks a lot!

went to the carlton redcastle in Donegal last month it was really nice pool is fantastic but no sauna food was great but expensive the staff were lovely to, all in all a great place, and if you happen to like golf it would be fantastic as they have their own course.

Thanks Shazza, will check that one out.

Like the look of the Grand hotel in Malahide and the City hotel in L/Derry. Will have a wee read on them more.

We like the Slieve Donard in Newcastle. Right on the beach with stunning views of the Mournes and Dundrum Bay.

Nice spa too.
