car hire

We need to hire smallish car in northern ireland for 1 week and will be going just into Southern Ireland (Drogheda) for 2 days of that time.

The quotes I've has have been really expensive over wee over £200, can anyone suggest more local copanies that might be better please? I tried Dan Dooley and they were £245 just Northern Irealnd.

Ideally we both want to drive, and when you add the full insurance extras, it really mounts up in costs.

thanks

I always use Europcar or Alamo (they now seem to be the same company) and their prices are always very reasonable.

thanks both of you, in the end I rang Dan Dooley and they gave me a slightly better price (not much) I went with them as we are going over border a bit and some firms have a problem with this, but they did not.
