Belfast Premier Inn

Was a real find. We had a super clean room for $60.00 and within walking distance of bus station, Crown Liquor and City Hall. The front desk was extremely helpful. Check it out.

I've been hearing good reports about this place. Cheap and cheerful.

We stayed there our first night after flight into Belfast and then again a week later when flying out. Easy taxi ride to Europa bus station and then Express 300 bus to airport.

How far is the Premier Travel Inn from the Europa Bus Centre? You mention that it was an easy cab ride, but is it walkable with a small suitcase?

We are heading to Belfast for the first time in Jan 08, staying for 3 nights at the Premier Travel Inn. We paid £10 each return to fly from London Stansted to Belfast City Airport on Ryanair. I guess after paying so little for our flights we could up the hotel a bit, but we have always been impressed with PTI and the rating of 3rd on TA indicates it is becoming a popular choice.

Any must do's for 3 days and nights in Belfast? We are thinking on our 3rd day (Monday) of heading to Giants Causeway.

Cheers

Yes, you can walk to the hotel. It takes about 15 minutes. We walked upon arrival but had large, heavy suitcases so we took taxi upon departure.

We only had a day in Belfast. We checked in at hotel and they called a black taxi tour for us. It was awful so I'd try the double decker bus tour instead. The city hall is closed for renovations, so we just walked around it and rode the big ferris wheel which gives a panoramic view of the city. We took a peek inside the Crown Liquor pub, but didn't have time to eat there but that would have been nice. We ended up with a great meal later in day at Robinson's a few doors down from Crown Liquor. Then we took a cab to John Hewitts for traditional music at 6 pm and Guiness and enjoyed this a lot. We took the bus to Derry the next day and on the following day bussed to Causeways and Bushmills. Saw Dunluce castle from the bus and wish we could have stopped, as the setting is stunning. Did a day trip into Donegal and waled Slieve League which is fantastic. Enjoyed the friendly people of NI!

JU123 you can get the bus no. 600 outside the city airport it will cost approx £2.40 return and will leave you in Gt Victoria Street bus station it would take approx 10 minutes to walk to PTI ask for directions when outside the bus station people in Belfast are very helpful when asked for directions. You could get a taxi from the city airport to your hotel which would cost (the same as your flight) £10 max one way this may be less hassle but cost slightly more.

Have a great time and if you need any other info let me know.

Thanks for your help. Nice to know we can walk to the PTI after using the Airport bus to the city centre.

Very much looking forward to Belfast. It has been high on our list of "to do's" for a long time now.
