New Years Eve 2009 - party and hotel ideas?

Hi all

We're looking at flying over to Belfast for a sporting event (ice hockey on 30th December), and since it's so close thinking of staying for new years.

Does anybody have any good recommendations for a party? There could be a good mix of ages - from an 18yr old girl, through us in our early to mid twenties, plus *maybe* some 'real' grownups! ;-)

We're also looking for a nice hotel which is located so as on New Years Eve itself we don't need to pay silly money cabs, and can just walk to where we're going and back.

Thanks in advance!

Caroline

Hi Caroline

It would all depend on your budget

If you want the best, then head for somewhere like THE MERCHANT

If you want somewhere on a budget, there are a couple of PREMIER INNS about town

Theres also a PI right beside the Cathedral Qtr (where the MERCHANT is as well) and there are loads of places you can try for New Years Eve parties there - Ollies, Pothouse, etc..

Have a blast (you will need cheered up after the Giants win ...)
