cathedral quarter

Im staying at benedictss in march. Ive heard the cathedral quarter is a good area to go for good bars??How far is this from benedicts? can u walk or need a taxi. also is this hotel on the golden mile?

Benedicts in Bradbury Place on the "Golden Mile" and is about a mile away from the Cathedral Quarter, on the opposite side of the city centre. The Golden Mile is now somewhat tarnished as the entertainment hub has in part moved to the Cathedral Quarter and Odyssey.

Drumlough has already said it all :-) Whether or not it's walkable depends on how far you're willing to walk (and indeed possibly your footwear!) but I would have a look on something like Google Maps to get your bearings before setting off - it's not just a straight road from one area to the other unfortunately although, in my opinion, it's worth the trip. Here is a map showing the walk from your hotel to 21 Social, which is one of the bars/clubs in the Cathedral Quarter, just to give you an idea:
