Belfast for a young family

We will be in Belfast for a weekend, heading to the city for a rugby match on the Friday night. Any tips on where to bring the family on the Saturday/Sunday? We have heard about Belfast Zoo and W5, but appreciate any tips - maybe the Belfast Giants Ice Hockey?

There are also cinemas at the Odyssey (where W5 is).

Another option might be a visit to Aunt Sandra's sweet factory:

This link might be useful although it covers all Northern Ireland not just Belfast:

The Giants is great fun! There are always lots of school/youth groups there so it's very family-friendly. W5 is great too, as is the zoo (although be aware that the zoo is built on a steepish hill, so if your kids tire while walking, be aware you might have to push/carry them up a hill!).

As well as the other suggestions you've been given, maybe look into the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum (a train ride away in Cultra), Belfast Castle and the Cave Hill Adventure Playground there (a bus or taxi ride away), and also maybe Titanic Belfast (it depends on the age of your kids and their interests for that one but have a look and see what you think). Older kids also seem to enjoy the open-air hop on hop off tour buses as well (although perhaps weather dependent!).

Many thanks for all the suggestions!!

Looks like we will head to W5 and stay in the Odyssey for the game. Might try the zoo on the last day and if the weather is bad, Aunt Sandra's sweet factory - thanks again
