Belfast to Ballymena

We are flying in to Belfast on the 29th August for a football game in Ballymena. Would it be best to stay in Belfast after the game for a night out? What is Ballymena like for a night out? Also how far is Ballymena from Belfast?

Ballymena is about 30 miles from Belfast.

I would suggest staying in Belfast for your night out. You will have a lot more choice in where to stay and where to go out.

In my opinion Ballymena doesnt have a lot going for it. It seems to get a bad press about trouble in relation to drugs and sectarian crimes. Its not somewhere I even consider on a night out. Belfast is close enough, as is Portrush and Portstewart.

Ballymena is a large town by NI standards but a large town here isnt the same as a large town in England. My reckoning would be Crewe would be a fair size bigger than Ballymena

Ballymena from Belfast is 45 miles . And Belfast has many more clubs and bars than Ballymena so return to Belfast.
