Music and shopping

Hi all!

Coming to Belfast – and the Antrim Coast/Derry area - for the first time and have a few questions…

MUSIC: in my teens I was a great fan of the not-so-long-lived band “Them”. Any music venues or tours with that kind of music? (I´m not so fond of Van Morrison as a solo artist…).

SHOPPING: are there any shops/factories selling tapesteries (old-fashioned style, e.g. William Morris-style) and

stationary shops (also old-fashion/vintage style, e.g. quills)

Thank you so much in advance!

For your music check out the music bus tour,

There are some antique dealers at St Georges Market. and a few shops in Donegal pass that might have what you want,

If you happen to be here on August 23rd, Van is actually playing a concert in his old school before they close it down.

Tickets will be £85 and haven't been released yet, but will be available from this website when they release them: http://eastsidearts.net/

Here Comes The Night was one of my favourite songs of the 60s, and it's a shame there aren't many bands around playing tribute to what was known as the "beat scene".

Might be worth checking out Rab McCullough's band in the Empire, I think they play every Thursday night

Fizzybenilyn - Rab McCullough in the Empire would probably have been something for me... Unfortunately I´m back home again, but maybe next time. Thanks!
