Belfast Int Airport to Dublin Centre

We will be arriving at the Belfast Int airport on 31st Dec at around 1am. I was wondering if anyone could help me find the quickest way of transport directly from the airport to go to Dublin centre as we will be dead tired at that early hour. We will be 4 adults. If someone could suggest some cheap but efficient taxi companies and also if you know if there is a direct bus or train at that early hour to go to Dublun would be highly appreciated. Many tks

am sure Translink will be able to advise, but earliest trains are not normally until around 06:50 onwards from Belfast Central Station. Why not spend the night at one of the hotels near the airport...there is one next to arrivals. But 31st Dec could/will be a very busy night, so book early.

A taxi from Belfast International Airport to Dublin city centre would cost around £165 according to the Belfast Airport Taxis tariff sheet.

Otherwise, by public transport, your journey will have two stages: firstly getting from Belfast International Airport to Belfast city centre, and secondly getting from Belfast city centre to Dublin city centre. For the first step, you could take either a taxi (around £30) or the airport bus (£7.50pp) into Belfast city centre. The timetable for the airport bus is at the link below, but just to summarise there are buses at 1am and 2am.

The second stage of the journey is to take a bus from Belfast city centre to Dublin city centre. For this you have two options: the Translink/Bus Eireann joint service called the X1/X2, or the Aircoach. The Aircoach is a slightly shorter journey but to be honest I would just take whichever happens to be departing next when you arrive in the city centre, as the departure points for each are literally beside each other.
