Whale watching

Hi

Im planning 5 nites touring Scotland, while we are touring i would love to do a whale watching trip & visit the isle of Skye.

Regarding the whale watching trip, what is the best time of year to go, we planning to go July, but we are flexible.

I would love to see killer whales if possible ??

June & July for Minke, Seals & Dolphins but AFAIK Orca aren't a regular visitor so it will be pot luck. There is however a good chance of seeing Basking Shark at that time of the year

Mull seems to have several boats that will take you out.

Seal and dolphins are all over, and can usually be easily seen. There's a pod of dolphins in the Cromarty Firth which regularly come in close to the shore.

Best land point on Skye is Neist Point - it's the most western point of Skye facing the Uists
