Access to Glen Feshie

The bridge over the river Feshie at Glen Feshie lodge was washed away in a storm a few years ago so the main route to upper Glen Feshie now follows the east bank of the river. There were a number of landslides on this side of the river making passage difficult for mountain bikes - this is a popular mountain bike route to Braemar - and having just spent a few days up there, it seems there have been a number of other, more serious landslides/rockfalls. Although it's still okay for walking, if you intend taking a mountain bike, be prepared to carry it over a number of difficult sections on the path with considerable scree and boulder fields, and several large trees blocking the path.

You're welcome, fifporter. I don't want anyone else finding out the 'hard' way! :)
