Hiya,

Looking for a nice pub/b&b with good food, open fire etc for a relaxing weekend break..

Any suggestions?

Couple of places up Loch Lomond way or go a bit further to Inveraray and stay and eat at The George.

I live in Glasgow (despite name) :-)

Anywhere you would recommend near Loch Lomond? Keen not to drive too far..

Just want to eat and drink and read the papers!

I like the George, as mentioned above. You could drive up and stop off for lunch at the Loch Fyne Oyster bar.

Even if you don't stop it is only about 90 minutes drive

A bit further afield (almost 2 hours from Glasgow city centre) is the Galley of Lorne Inn near Lochgilphead. B&B/small hotel with amazing food, a real fire. Great place
