Great Britain and France Oct 1 2014 for about 28 days

We are leaving from Seattle.

We would like to do Ireland for 7, Scotland for 7, Paris for 7, and finally French country side for 7. We hope to do self driving tours. In the British Isles. We will have contacts in France to show us the ropes.

We would like to start with Ireland or Scotland, then Paris, and finally the French country. I'm having trouble figuring out a flight schedule. Some have suggested Iceland Air, Ryan, WOW, and others to save money.

Thanks,

Dundee, United...

I would suggest that if you're specifically wanting to go to the Toulouse area then it's easier to get there from Dublin (Ryanair fly direct to Carcassonne and Aer Lingus direct to Toulouse). The (very limited) direct flights to that area of France from Scotland are highly seasonal and don't operate in October. In light of this you might be better doing Scotland first, then Ireland, then France.

Our general plan for France is to land in an outlying region, and then drive toward Paris on non-toll back roads to see the country side.

There are some flights from EDI to Bergerac and La Rochelle etc but, as stated above, these cater to the summer holiday crowd so will stop at some point in October, if not earlier.

I also note that you said you wanted to do Paris, then countryside, and now it's the other way around. You may find it easier to do Paris for a few days, take one of France's excellent high-speed trains to the South of the country, then spend your 7 days driving back up, before finishing your trip in Paris.
