How Much Money?

Planning on spending 4 days in Scotland... a small trip while in Ireland I guess you could say.

How much money should you say 2 people should bring on a 4 day trip to scotland for food and personal buying?

We do like to drink, but no need to get drunk... and we are fine with eating at regular not so fancy places.

Any thoughts would be appreciated! :)

It depends on how organised and focused on price you are

There are lots of great pre-theatre menus that can save you money if you eat earlier in the evening - or look on sites such as www.5pm.co.uk for special offers any time of day which will give you an idea of prices. Both these can cut costs and give great value in nice places.

Transport in the towns is quite reasonable. If personal shopping includes gifts or clothes there are some great options at all prices, especially if you go off the beaten track.

Hope that helps
