2 nights in Oban end of july, what to do?

My husband, teenage daughter and I are going to Scotland at the end of July. The plan is to drive from London to Dumfries, spend 2 nights in a b&b nearby, then drive from Dumfries to Connell where we are staying for 2 nights before driving up to Inverness where we are staying for 5 nights. The plan is to have a day visiting the islands, principally Staffa and Lunga. Which tour company should we use? Also what else is there to do in the area? I have read mixed reviews of the Sea Life Sanctuary. Heard about Cruachan, the hollow mountain housing a power station. Is it worth a visit? What about the Falls of Lora? Any good?

Will appreciate your comments, many thanks.

As you are only staying at Connell for two nights, you will not have time to do much. For Staffa and Lunga (Treshnish Isles), try http://www.turusmara.com/

Hi scarlet_bridget, seeing the Falls of Lora is dependent on the tides. Only during ebb and rise of tides then they will appear. This website is pretty useful, includes the forecast of the tides so you can time your visit: http://www.fallsoflora.info/index.htm
