Pub near airport

We are a small group over from Dublin for a Saturday day trip in a few weeks time. After spending some time in the city, we hope to go to a pub close to the airport (within a few miles) to have a few drinks and something to eat, any tips from all you Edinburgh experts ??, thank you for reading this

Most of the surrounds of the airport is motorway, business parks and farmland. I'm no expert, but you might be better having drink in Haymarket and grab a bus/taxi direct from there to the airport. Only takes about 20 minutes.

there are a couple of pubs/hotels in the Corstorphine area of the city, this is on the main bus route out to the airport..

Airport buses run every 10-15 minutes.

the airport bus tajkes about 25 minutes from the city center so if using this any where near Waverley ,Haymarket or Corstorphine should be fine.the Sporters bar in market street is onlty2 minutes walk from the Airport bus stop on Waverley Bridge.

Or there's a pub in the airport itself on the first floor.

The nearest town/village where there is a pub is Kirkliston. Not walking distance from the airport but easily reached by bus or taxi.

My nomination would be the Bridge Inn at Ratho.

Don't know if a hotel would do but there's the Airport HIlton within walking distance of the terminal, or the Norton House Hotel (a bit more upmarket) just 5 minutes away.

The Bridge Inn at Ratho is a good suggestion. Its on the canal side (has its own boat you can eat on) and the food's not bad.

The Ritz Bar and Grill is close to the airport but I've never been in it so can't comment.

If you are thinking of the Bridge Inn or the Norton Hotel, you will definitely need to get a taxi.

Both are a fair hike from the airport and are across a busy dual carriageway. I certainly wouldn't like to walk to either from the airport.

Better idea to have a drink in the town and make your way to the airport when you are ready to leave. There is a bar before and after security so you won't go thirsty.

It's a pity you aren't staying for longer.
