Waterfront in Edinburgh covers a large amount of ground, so a bit more detail is needed.

How are you arriving in Edinburgh as that will affect the answer

In any case see www.lothianbuses.com & www.flybybus.com

I presume you are talking about Leith as being the waterfront of the city, the no22 bus goes from the city center to this area ,but other buses also cover the area, depends where exactly you want to go.

www.lothianbuses.co.uk

will give you details.let us know where you are staying and we will help the best we can.

if coming from the airport you might be a lot quicker and not at a lot more expense getting a taxi right to your accomodation.

The no 22 bus stops right outside the hotel and is only one stop from the Ocean terminal.buses run till about 11.30 or so,but there are late night buses (N22) that run every 30 minutes and cost £2.50 per journey, normal daytime fare is £1.

take the Airbus to Princes street (£3.00 single or £5 open return) then get the no22( £1 ) from Princes street direct to your hotel.

if there are more that 2 of you a taxi would cost in the region of £15-20 from the Airport.

You could have a wee dram before you leave the airport and get the first N22 direct to the hotel for £2.50

Alternatively get the 35 to the Gyle then the 22 to the hotel - £2 in total

As the 35 service goes direct from the airport to the ocean terminal does it not pass close to this hotel?

Journey time is just over an hour but it would save changing buses and be cheaper than the express service.

the last No 35 travelling the whole route leaves the airport at 11.02pm so you'd want to hope for a quick exit to be able to catch this.
