We will be in Edinburgh on July 23rd. After reading through tons of guided tours I think we would rather head out on our own and at our own pace. I am interested in taking the CityLink bus from Edinburgh to Stirling and was able to find the schedule online. Looks like the 909 service. However, how would I get from Stirling to Loch Lomond Park?

I would suggest you hire a car. There may be bus links to Loch Lomond from Stirling but I dont know of any and if you only have a day you'll be struggling.
You do really need a car to see Loch Lomond. would you consider renting a car so that you could stop at your own leisure to see the Loch and surrounding area.
No car then, the only suggestion I have is you contact the following who may help you with a plan, it would be a shame to miss Loch Lomond it is lovely.

Something to consider. There is a summer bus service called the Trossachs Trundler that runs from Stirling and/or Callander into the Loch Lomond area. For example, you could leave Stirling at 13:05 or 13:30, depending on the day of the week, connect in Callander to the Trundler, which departs at 14:32, arriving at the Trossachs pier on Loch Katrine at 14:58. Take the one hour boat cruise (on the 100 year old steamship, SS Sir Walter Scott) on Loch Katrine at 15:15, get return bus at 16:25, arriving Stirling at 17:35.
