The "big" shows tend to come to the Playhouse.

First of all a heads up for February- there are 2 major rugby fixtures on the weekends of Feb 8th (Wales) and 28th (Italy) so particularly the Wales weekend you will find it very difficult and expensive to get hotels. There is usually less travelling support for Italy although with the strong Euro now that may be increased so availability may be limited.

The Radisson is a good hotel in a great location, but there are also many other smaller romantic boutique hotels such as the Bonham, Channings, Hudson, or Tiger lily, worth checking out. It depends really on how much time you want to spend in the hotel and how much out sightseeing. The weather can be very cold in Feb with snow definitely possible.

Check out the following links to Edinburgh theatres. www.lyceum.org.uk/ www.eft.co.uk/ www.edinburghtheatres.com/ http://www.edinburghplayhouse.org.uk/

Have a look at the restaurant review pages of tripadvisor for recommendations.

Like...no... LOVE as opposed to London. First of all, Edinburgh is smaller, very walkable, and full of history. As for activities, it depends on what you enjoy. We have 3 fantastic art museums, The Museum of Scotland (for history & culture), The Royal Mile topped by the Castle and ending in Holyrood Palace, and lots of other activities as well.

Check out the things to do list in TA's site (just to the left) for Edinburgh and try to include one of the hop on/hop off bus tours. "The List" has an online guide to what's happening. http://www.list.co.uk/

I'm going to the ballet Trockadero de Monte Carlo @ The Festival Theatre on 21 February. It sounds like lots of fun.

Keep us posted as to any other question you may have.

We are fortunate to have numerous good restaurants in Edinburgh with lots of variety.

What type of food and atmosphere would you like during your trip?

February nights are chilly so make sure you bring some warm clothes with you!

Although you won't find it hard to get some winter woollies in the city.
