Transport from Airport to Hotel in Edinburgh park

We are arriving at 10 pm from a Dublin flight and are booked to stay at the Novotel Edin. Park. I am wondering what the best option would be- it isnt that far from the airport so would a taxi be cheaper than the airlink bus? Does the bus go through the Edinburgh Park area? Info GREATLY appreciated!

You'd have to take the 35 bus to The Gyle, then the 22 bus to Lochside Crescent - then walk.

Easier to get a taxi

We were in Edinburgh a few months ago - I think you're definitely close enough to the airport that a taxi would be comparable if not cheaper and much easier than the Airlink. We took the Airlink back to the airport from the new town area, and I believe it went straight out Corstorphine Road - that would leave you with a few blocks to walk in the dark. Enjoy!

Just to add that the easiest way into town is to get the train from Edinburgh Park station

The only sensible way from the airport to your hotel is by taxi and should be around £10 maximum in total.

Unusually, Alanrow doesn't have it quite right. The 35 goes the same route from the Gyle through Edinburgh Park as the 22, so you wouldn't need to change buses. It's about a ten minute walk from the nearest bus stop up to the Novotel. The bus fare is £1.20 each (exact money only).

Agree that a taxi would be no more than a tenner, and definitely the easiest way. It might look like the taxi doesn't take the most direct route, as there are traffic controls in place at the exit from Edinburgh Park nearest the Novotel, which doesn't allow taxis through.

Just noticed that the Number 2 bus goes past the Novotel on it's way into town

Must be a new change as I don't recall it doing that before
