Breakfast

Next month, Him Indoors and I are picking up the relatives from the airport after an early flight and then heading straight into Edinburgh on the park and ride bus.

What I am looking for, are suggestions for somewhere we can get a reasonable (So the Balmoral is out) breakfast near to the centre.

Thanks

1. Re: Breakfast

Almost opposite the Balmoral is Martone which does breakfasts from 8 a.m.

Snax takeaway-cafe behind Burger King may be a bit greasy spoon style.

The Standing Order (Weatherspoons) or Browns both on George street do good breakfasts although not sure exactly what time they open. Good value and a great view of the castle is the Debenhams cafe on the top floor.

I quite liked the look of Browns last visit, but we ended up going to Eteaket instead. It was a two against one vote! As nice as Eteaket is, it perhaps isn't the place for a good hearty breakfast.

In Brown's favour they do a vegetarian breakfast, as well as things with bacon or eggs benedict sort of stuff, and it looks quite tidy;-)

Actually Martone isn't bad either and the coffee is great.
