Edinburgh B&Bs

Does anyone have recommendations for a nice, but inexpensive (in the 50-65 pound range) B&B in Edinburgh, Scotland? We would like to be close enough to the city center to take advantage of city busses because we will not have a car.

Thank you!

read some reviews here

tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotels-g186525-c2-Edinburg…

Edinburgh is a compact city and easy to get around on bus, or even on foot if you are reasonably fit. Areas that are nice and just outside the immediate centre include Hillside (near the top of leith walk) Bruntsfield, Newington, Marchmont and Stockbridge.

Ferry road, to the north of the centre also has several b&bs.

You could go a bit further out to Corstorphine which is also very well served by buses and likely to be cheaper for accommodation too.

Long before TA, visiting colleagues enthused about the Highfield Guest House. tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g186525-d568381… For years, I have suggested it to other visiting colleagues and the feedback has always been very positive.
