Indian saris to buy in Edinburgh

Am keen to buy salwar kameez or sari to attend wedding in India. Aparta from Clerk St are there any other shops which sell made-up garments?

There is an indian dress/ fabric shop on Leith walk at the top end on the right hand side. No idea what it is called and it doesn't have a website but maybe check the phone book?

Unless you are used to wearing a sari then don't.

We went to Allison Street in Glasgow a couple of years ago, searching for some sari material for furnishing. There were at least a dozen shops all close together, so it may be worth the trip.

Only thing is, most of the saris were sold as pre-cut sets of fabric ready to be sewn up to your size - don't know if you'd have time for this before your wedding, or if you'd need something "off the peg?"

There is quite a large Indian community at the foot of Leith walk, and on Junction Street. There are places doing clothes. They would either have the good or know where to send you.

Not my area of expertise :-)
