I had lovely time in Edinburgh (Scotland in general) and would use the opportunity to thank everybody for their great recommendations and advices.
Some of the restaurant I tried and can hardly recommend:
Gardener's cottage for dinner (highlight of the trip)
Urban Angel for lunch/brunch in Hanover St
Field (West Nicolson St) for dinner (14 punds for 2 amazing dishes)
Dogs for lunch
Castle Terrace for gourmet lunch
Bon Vivant for dinner with good vibe
L'Escargot Bleu for cheap high quality (early) dinner
Artisan Roast and Wellington for amazing coffee
Sightseing bus is a great way to see the city, I loved how we combined the different routes.
Walking through all streets in Newtown, where we stayed in a Georgian house - I fell in love with all the streets.
I absolutely hated tourist traps shops on Royal Mile, but the street itself is amazing.
Looking forward to get back.Edited: 28 April 2013, 15:56
