Edinburgh pass

Is it worth it? Only things on it we were going to do is the zoo and dungeon. However we may also do some tours and a couple of the things on there look ok.

Has anybody had experience of it and are the tours included some of the better ones?

1. Re: Edinburgh pass

The Edinburgh pass mentions the museums and galleries, but entrance is free and the pass covers only the exhibitions therein. e.g. Entrance to the museum is free, but normally you'd pay to see the Vikings exhibition.

The ghostly tours are some of the better ones IMO.

If you add up the costs you have to work quite hard to get your full money's worth.

There are also passes for Historic Scotland buildings and the National Trust for Scotland and the same applies. If you ony want to see a couple of places it might be just as cheap to pay at the door.

If you have plenty time tha e amid of the Forth Cruise is good. However the longer cruise to Inchcolm is better than the one which goes to the Forth Bridge. Guess which one is on the pass? What a dilemma.

MAny of the places outside town are interesting - e.g. the museum of flight or Glenkinchie Distillery - but you still have to get yourself there ...
