A Day in Edinburgh

Our cruise stops in Edinburgh 2nd August, thinking of the Hoho bus any ideas which one and the best places to visit. We are seniors but walk a lot and are active, what should we not miss.

Especially lunch places, with a view possibly. Thanks

If your ship stops in Leith rather than South Queensferry I would suggest taking the 35 bus to the Royal Mile and walk up that.

Walk the Royal Mile, as suggested. If time permits, take the HOHO bus and if there is more time, visit Edinburgh Castle. This would be a very long day. Place for lunch (food OK) is the Elephant House, where Rowling wrote Harry Potter books. Be sure to go to the back room for the view and the toilet for the graffiti. http://www.elephanthouse.biz/
