Breakfast near Edinburgh bus station

once we've dropped our bags off we'll need to eat. Can anyone recommend somewhere for a good breakfast near the bus/train station. Not a greasy spoon, but not the best hotel in town. Around £15 per head all in would be ideal.

Ooh. I would definitely suggest Centotre. It's a pleasant 5-10 min walk along George st from the bus station. Great breakfasts including hot and cold options, fruit salads, pastries, and a delicious invention called 'chargrilled bread' (Toast with a difference!). And some great coffee. You could easily get a hit drink and food for £15. In a stunning environment of an old bank building: high ceilings, columns and marble. Lovely.

Abs :)

Amarone is even closer to the train/bus station- right at the corner of St Andrew Square and George street- good breakfast choices. www.amaronerestaurant.co.uk/index.php…

Centotre

is nice, but you will be very near the associated vin cafe on multrees walk. I've had breakfast there a couple of times and it is good. Or Harvey Nicks ? My sister loves it for breakfast. Good views. Both on the doorstep of the bus station.
