Which bus from Edinburgh airport to Waverly train station?

Hi..I was wondering what bus number/company to take to get from the airport to the train station. I remember once taking a Lothian bus from the airport to the city center, but this time I need to go to Waverly station. I will be catching a train to Lockerbie from there.

thank you!

get the number 100 airport bus from directly outside the arrivals hall. big blue thing, you cant miss it!! runs every 15minutes & terminates on Waverley bridge. not sure of exact fare, about £5.50 or there abouts

The lg running saga of building the tram network is soon to be at an end so from May next year you can also take a tram from the airport into town.

"also"?

I thought the trams were *replacing* the buses (with a less frequent, slower and more expensive service?)

Also the Airlink bus has wifi, wonder if the trams will?

Only needs to go as far as Haymarket as all trains for Lockerbie stop there - saves around 30 minutes of travel time

Thank you...I ended up taking a taxi..it was cold, rainy and people just standing around at the bus stop at the airport...didnt want to wait. Worked out great! Had extra time to explore Prince St a bit.

For the benefit of anyone planning to travel in the near future, the Airlink bus stop has been moved to a location on the left of domestic arrivals, about 80 yards or so along a line of shelters. This on account of yet more building work. It's not clear to me whether it will be moved back to its original, convenient position directly in front of domestic arrivals.
