Matinee or Evening Performance

I am taking my husband to see Evita in February at the Edinburgh Playhouse. We are only staying the one night and travelling back home at lunchtime on the Sunday. I was wondering if anyone could advise which performance would be the best to see in order that I can make the most of our short stay.

In February the weather can be very cold and potentially snowy and daylight hours not very long so I would suggest you make the most of the daytime to sight see around the city and go to the theatre in the evening.

There are plenty places to eat near the Playhouse, so make the most of your day and head down to the Playhouse - places to eat at the Omni centre (chai food mostly), opposite the Playhouse (loads of small restaurants) or down the hill a hundred yards to the one I'd recommend: Taste of Italy. Cafe/diner rather than a formal restaurant, but good food.

Totally agree with the responses so far. Don't waste precious daylight hours in the theatre - go in the evening to give you the afternoon for daylight sightseeing.
