The bus certainly takes you door to door so to speak, but it takes 2 1/2 hours.
Your choice whether a small timesaving is preferable to avoiding transport changes.
I would mention the Airport is irrelevant in this case as it has left there and you are boarding at Buchanan Bus Station.
It is also an Express Bus (that's what the X denotes) so therefore apart from major points en route doesn't stop that often.
If you can live with 15-20 minutes more time wise then Bus is the sensible option.
I am currently on an X bus from Edinburgh to Fife.I have travelled a lot on this route recently. Why X means Xpress is beyond me. The bus stops at every blooming stop as far as I can see!! So Express it ain't....Just saying. Best route from Glasgow to St.Andrews is X24. No faffing around with changes. It may not be speedy but it's door to door and unlike the train, you are guaranteed a seat! Plenty of room for luggage ( also unlike the train!)
Well Woody, at least the free WiFi works!!!
Haha, yes, it's great!
