Can you recommend any good pubs?

We're 7 people (30+ years) going to Glasgow in March.

Are there any pubs which differ from the rest in a way - with a distinctive stamp? (We live right next to the central station, but don't mind a taxi ride).

When do the pubs close?

Is there a web site for the Glasgow subway lines?

Thanks!

You say you are staying in hotel right next to the Station. If it's the Central Quality Hotel you should know that an article in the Sunday Times reported it has been voted No1 filthiest hotel.

Actually, I tried to book us in at the Quality hotel, as it was recommended on a Norwegian forum. However, there wasn't room for all 7 of us, so we ended up at the Alexander Thomson. Yes, I know...

No - please don't visit any pub in Glasgow that spells beer like that. :o(
