There are a lot of activities for that time of year on this website although the final details for Hogmanay are not available until November.

George Square or Merchant City is where all the action will be at Hogmany. Plenty of live music and all the usual festivities. Unfortunately it is a ticketed event, albeit free so it may be worth contacting the council for details of how to get them.

If you fancy something a bit different then look for venues that may have ceilidhs on. There are usually a few on throughout the city and are good fun.

A small point, the events around George Square usually has its fair share of what I will describe as native scallywags, most of whom will have spent the previous 6 hours enjoying their chilled Buckfast wine and gallons of fizzy cider. They are usually best avoided.
