Cheap decent accommodation in city centre

I am attending a film festival in Glasgow in February at the Glasgow Film Theatre. Can anyone recommend a cheap but ok place to stay near by? Many thanks as I have never been to Glasgow before.

The GFT is quite near (less than a 10 minute walk) from Cowcaddens tube station so you could broaden you search to the West End, which has a few stations,if that is of interest.

What kind of place are you after and what sort of budget?

There is a Travelodge just round the corner from the GFT - £35 per night when the film festival is on

There is a hostel near Jamica street (aka the four corners) where buses pass through quite a lot.

Closest and probably the best choice (on price) is the Travelodge on Hill Street - just 150m from the GFT. For even more culture, the Glasgow School of Art is the same distance away, whilst Sauciehall Street, for shopping, is also on your doorstep.
